Privacy policy
Steady Piano has no account and no ads. Your practice stays on your device. If you agree, the app also sends usage data to Google Analytics.
Your choice
Nothing is sent without your consent. You can withdraw it at any time in Preferences, and sending stops right away.
If you share your usage data
The app sends Google Analytics for Firebase the exercises and pieces you play, the mode you use, the time spent, your scores, the name of your piano and what you do in the app. Firebase adds your device model, the Android and app versions, your language and a random identifier for this installation. Google also receives your IP address, as with any connection, and works out an approximate location from it. The notes you play are never sent.
This data shows what to improve first. Google processes it, including outside the European Union. It keeps events for 14 months, and this installation's identifier for up to 14 months after the last data sent. Overall statistics, with no per-person detail, can stay longer.
What stays on your device
Your practice history, scores, settings and calibration. The notes you play are only used to correct the exercise in progress.
Android backup
If your Google account backup is on, Android may copy this data to it. That copy depends on Google.
Erase your data
It stays as long as the app is installed. To erase it, uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android settings. Data already sent stays with Google until its retention period ends.
